CPR/AED and First Aid Training

Riverland Community College offers complete CPR training in a fun and educational environment. American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® CPR certification is a perfect option for business and industry. Or if injuries are a concern, we recommend the Heartsaver® CPR Certification with First Aid.

Riverland also offers Basic Life Support for Heathcare Providers for those working in the healthcare fields.  Riverland’s AHA-Certified instructors will provide you with more than just the information but will help instill a confidence that you’ll be able to handle any emergency. Our classes include infant, children, and adult CPR. You will also learn what to do in an airway obstruction emergency. Included in every class is instruction in how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

CPR/AED and First Aid Training Programs

American Heart Association CPR Instructor Training

American Heart Association Instructor course is designed to prepare qualified instructors to teach CPR, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and how to relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.  It will include a review of essential skills and BLS concepts, equipment use, and AHA instructor expectations.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification

The American Heart Association BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

Bloodborne Pathogen Training

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens is a classroom course that teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials.

CPR - Adult, Child, and Infant

American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

First Aid Certification

American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives.

Hands only CPR Training

Hands-Only CPR is CPR without mouth-to-mouth breaths
