TYPES OF FINANCIAL AID

Financial aid comes in three main forms:

• Aid you don't repay (grants and scholarships)
• Aid you must repay (loans)
• Aid you earn (work study and military assistance)

RIVERLAND FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships are awarded based upon various criteria, which usually reflect the values and purposes of the donor or founder of the award. Scholarship money is not required to be repaid.

WORKSTUDY

If you're willing to work for your financial aid, participating in a federal work study program could be a good fit for you.

DISBURSEMENTS & REFUNDS

Disbursements and refunds are payments made to a student whose funding received, including financial aid, exceeds institutional charges.
