ÃÛÌÒTV Ricki

I teach College Prep Writing, Composition I and II, Creative Writing: Fiction and Nonfiction, Argument, and Research Writing. I love teaching writing nearly as much as I love writing.

I retired from my full-time position as Regional Title IX Investigator and Trainer for Riverland and three other colleges in southern MN at the end of May 2020. Teaching English as an adjunct is a great part of my retirement plan.

Area(s) of Expertise

  • Academic Writing and Fiction.

Professional Associations

I'm a writer, and have written articles for Connections, College Crossings, and the Professional Editors' Network Newsletter. I write middle grade and young adult fiction. My short stories have been published by Learning Through History and Aria Kalsan. My middle grade fantasy novel, The Enchanted, was recently published, and I belong to the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. I'm the owner of and editor for RLW Editorial Services. I provide editing services for indie writers of literary fiction, science fiction/fantasy, mysteries, thrillers, middle grade, and young adult books. I also edit PhD and Master level theses and dissertations.

Volunteer and Community Service Activities

  • I belong to a local writers' group, and act as their meeting facilitator/coordinator.
