I work in the Riverland Tutoring Center at the Austin East Campus, helping students with writing and reading support. I am also part of a wonderful Learning Specialist team called RiverGuide, a program created to support all students in historically challenging classes. The RiverGuides work with faculty and students, embedded in targeted classes and offering sessions outside of class to further support learning. Both of these roles allow me to work with students to help expand their learning opportunities, which I really enjoy.
Phone: 507-433-0356I have been an English teacher for 20 years, with 7 of those being a Library Media Specialist. Reading and writing are strong areas of focus, especially finding great books! I also taught K-12 Technology classes for 2 years, so I enjoy learning about using technology in educational settings.

I am married to Mike, a diesel instructor, who loves to travel and find adventures as much as I do! We enjoy gardening, cooking and playing with our grandson. We also have an energetic pup named Ruby. When I am not busy running after kids and dogs, I help out my daughter at her graphic design studio, Sparkling Image. I love learning, reading, and exploring.
